Many Hands Make Light Work….
The Scenario
A large International Bank based in London had committed to undertake a refresh of over 1000 18” TFT Monitors, over four consecutive weekends during the summer months realising that annual leave would seriously impact the viability of the installation. Having dealt with EOL on a regular basis for asset and data removal the client decided to give us a call.
How we could help?
EOL arranged a site visit to scope the project and to carry out a Health and Safety survey. A full project plan was subsequently produced which included both a Risk Assessment document and a Method Statement for the project. Meetings were then arranged between Monitor Supplier and the Client with EOL staff liaising directly with both parties at all times. The replacement TFT monitors were delivered directly to our own secure warehouse facility where they could be rolled out in a controlled manner as and when required.
The Project
Our team of Drivers, Porters, Installation Engineers and a Project Manager arrived at the appointed time all carrying photo identification and wearing company uniform.
Project De-brief
Following completion of this particular project a report was produced for the client indicating the serial numbers of the removed and replacement monitors and their relative locations within the working area. All packaging was disposed of under current environmental guidelines and in this instance the removed monitors were prepared for return to a leasing company.The monitors were de-labelled, cosmetically cleaned, re-packaged to the lessee’s specification by EOL and subsequently returned to the lessee without damage and on-schedule using our own vehicles and staff.

Although most of our work is carried out in and around London our Collections and Services work takes us all over the United Kingdom.As an example EOL’s Services division carried out a nationwide audit as part of a large decommissioning project. The sites visited were as diverse as, Inverness, Cornwall, North & South Wales, East Anglia, North and Southern Ireland and all areas in between; truly a Nationwide venture.
The project was time critical and naturally had to be 100% accurate. Using the latest route planning software this project had to be planned well in advance for the best logistical and timed advantage allowing us to offer a very cost effective solution.Collections and re-locations were also carried out on a regular basis across the United Kingdom. EOL routinely make trips to Glasgow, Edinburgh and beyond.
