End-O-Line Celebrates Long Innings with Clients

Top IT recycling company End-O-Line has been so bowled over by its clients’ loyalty that it laid on a cricketing day for them.

Managing Director Jan Smith wanted to celebrate the fact that many of her company’s clients had been with End-O-Line (EOLS) for up to a decade and special Client Loyalty Awards were presented at the Chelmsford cricket ground where Essex were playing Glamorgan in a country championship match on July 19.

Representatives of 3 clients, many of them corporate big hitters in the finance world, enjoyed a three-course lunch before being presented with engraved glass plaques celebrating the special relationships. The presentations were made by former England and Essex cricket captain Graham Gooch.

Jan Smith said: “End-O-Line is celebrating its 10th anniversary this year and we have been very pleased that a number of our clients have been with us for the whole of that time. A good few more have been loyal to us for six years or more. “We felt we wanted to mark their loyalty with a special day which was blessed by good weather and a good day’s cricket.”

Maldon, Essex-based EOLS has reported 10 years of continuous growth since it was started by Jan Smith. It recently moved into purpose-built premises in Station Road, Maldon which offers plenty of room for further expansion. Staff numbers have grown from 14 just a few years ago to almost 50 this year.

EOLS is the foremost independent IT asset disposal company in the UK giving redundant equipment such as computers a new lease of life.
EOLS operates a zero landfill policy for the 5,000 pieces of IT equipment it handles each week on behalf of its Blue Chip clients including global banks and financial institutions.

After all data is erased, 50% of the computer equipment is resold, 40% is given a new lease of life as components and the remaining 10% is passed to other recycling companies to use in an environmentally-responsible way.
