End-O-Line Drives into
New Business Areas

A company with a successful track record of being ahead in the IT game enters a new era today as it announces ambitious expansion plans.

End-O-Line Services, which made its name in the IT recycling sector, is officially announcing a change of direction.

Today the company offers services right across the IT spectrum. To more accurately reflect this wider range of work, it has been transformed into EOL IT Services.

Over the past few years the Essex-based company, founded in 1996, has been increasingly providing comprehensive IT equipment services to its existing clients. As well as its established asset refining and data security, the company has incorporated Tailored Managed Services to build on its reputation as a trusted service provider to leading companies in the banking, insurance, law and financial services sectors.

With the change to EOL IT Services comes a new company structure and revamped management team. The new corporate identity was unveiled today.

The new approach is being spearheaded by Managing Director Richard Parker who took over the role from End-O-Line founder Jan Smith in August 2006. Jan, who is also Richard’s sister, has stepped into the role of Chairman.

Mr Parker wants to retain the established family ethic of the business while driving its new development strategy.

He said: “End-O-Line has done phenomenally well since Jan founded the company 11 years ago and has remained on a high growth curve throughout. In response to client demand we have been offering a far wider service to our clients while retaining the total security element of the service they already enjoy.

“We have quietly established our credentials to carry out fully managed services. It has been so successful that it became a logical step for us to expand the company to meet the demand we know is out there.”

The company was built on the foundation of secure removal of all corporate data and maximising the residual value of redundant IT equipment. As environmental regulations became ever more stringent, EOL has guided clients through the pitfalls of compliance to ensure they successfully meet their responsibilities.

The new and expanded EOL IT Services can also take the pressure off company IT departments. It has the infrastructure to take on the time-consuming jobs that would tie up skilled in-house staff. The EOL Tailored Managed Service includes:

• Data destruction (on and off site) to the highest standards of security/confidentiality

• Removal and recycling or disposal of unwanted equipment

• New equipment rollout/installation

• IT delivery or relocation throughout the UK

• End of lease re-engineering and refurbishment to original specification, packaging and return delivery

• Secure short or long-term data and equipment storage in EOL’s premises

• Asset reporting and management

• IT equipment cosmetically cleaned

• Supply of spare parts and components

• Short-term rental (i.e. exhibitions, seminars etc)

Mr Parker added: “These are exciting times for EOL and our expanding number of staff are energised by what we are planning. As our service grows, we will continue to provide our customers with the same EOL commitment to trust, security, quality and confidentiality.”

The original End-O-Line became experts in disposing of equipment in an environmentally responsible way long before it was legally required by the WEEE Directive.

The company has won several business environmental awards. Founder Jan Smith has won two Entrepreneur accolades and the company has gained two Business in the Community Big Tick awards in the eco-efficiency category.
