General Data Protection Regulations (GDPR) – Our mission.
Steve Inglessis, Commercial Director, EOL IT Services comments
“GDPR is a major compliance challenge. As its introduction draws closer, data security and auditability will be essential. Data breaches occur due to weak and ineffective internal processes. This means IT asset disposal providers will need to demonstrate more security, auditability and professionalism when recycling IT equipment. In my new position at EOL, I would like to help bring secure, auditable and user-managed solutions to enforce control of assets holding critical data and confidential information.”
The future for Steve and EOL IT services, and for other enterprise level-ITADs, will be to comprehensively monitor, police and report occurrences of data destruction in order to make sure compliance is demonstrated with the upcoming GDPR. This will provide organisations with absolute assurance around the recycling and destruction of their data.
