Apprenticeship Overview
The Apprentice IT Solutions Technician reports to the Operations Manager within his/her department and carries out daily tasks as requested by the Operations Line Manager. Daily tasks include secure data erasure, engineering ICT equipment and recording items on to the EOL It Services database whilst under the supervision of Team leader.
It is the responsibility of Apprentice IT Solutions Technician to comply with all EOL IT Services policies, procedures and to strictly follow work instructions as directed by Line Manager.
During this apprenticeship, you will follow a fully supported training programme with The Apprentice and Training Partnership, delivered through combined classroom-based training, workplace assessment/training and online learning, at the end of which you will have achieved the following qualifications:

Day-to-day duties
- Performing secure data erasure to EOL’s required standard whilst under supervision.
- Engineering/Fixing ICT Equipment whilst under supervision.
- Recording item on to the database whilst under supervision.
- Perform other related duties as assigned or as the situation dictates in line with the needs of the business.
- To take part of technical and awareness training as and when required.

Additional Information – Travel
Site location is best accessed by car (instead of public transport) so this position would be ideal for those who can commute with a car.
Requirements
You are required to have GCSE 9-4 grades or equivalent in English and Maths to apply for this type of apprenticeship. If you do not have these grades but have completed numeracy and literacy Key Skills/Functional Skills at level two you may also apply for these apprenticeships
Eligibility
Ideally be 18 years or over
Have been a UK/EEA resident for the last 3 years
Hold valid residency status
Have the right to work in the UK
